JULY 2040

Before it is too late. Before the boy is slain. Before the girl is missing. Before the grief (and after), we are called to imagine Black futures, Black joy, Black power. We are called to build new tables from which to eat.

We, equipped with a radical imagination, must show up before it is too late. We must protect ourselves against the warfare of the State. We must continue to teach each other this freedom — to build anew.

The year is 2040. This is the Protection issue.
